Tokyo Internation Film Festival 2015 was holed Oct.22-31 in Tokyo. 16 films participated in Competition in this year, and Brazilian movie “Nose-The Heart of Madness” won Tokyo Grand Prix, which is the best award of this film festival.
“Nise-The Heart of Madness” is a story about a female doctor “Nise” in a psychiatric hospital. She dose not agree to use violent electroshock for the treatment of schizophrenics. That put her in a difficult position at the workplace. However, she keep the faith and finds innovative Therapy by using arts, dogs and love.
The actress of Nise, Gloria Pires also won Award for Best Actress.
For the rest, Mustafa Kara of “Cold of Kalandar” won Award for Best Director. Award for Best Actor went to Roland Moller and Louis Hofman of “Land of Mine”.
There were a lot of films about war, refugees, life and death reflecting current social issues. However, we could see human love, kindness or happiness under a hard situation in some films. Those made us feel “Hope” about difficulties we are facing.
